SCHOLARSHIPS
Entry Level - Chinmaya Vidyayoga
With a view to attracting meritorious students from all strata of society, specifically in cases where the parents cannot afford the fee, CIRS offers a Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. This is offered at the sole discretion of the Management, but within the given framework, without any automatic entitlement for anyone.
The Merit Criteria are the applicant's
- academic performance in the CIRS admission test and
- national/state ranking in sports.
The Means Criteria are evaluated on a case by case basis by the Management, keeping in mind the following parameters:
- Occupation(s) of the parents
- Known sources of income of the parents
- Family background - i.e. Single parent, number of earning parents, number of dependents provided for by parents, etc.
- Siblings studying at CIRS
The scholarship in each case shall be:
- For CBSE - a discount of 15% - 25% on the annual fees
- For IB - up to Rs. 100,000 per annum
Annual Merit Scholarship in School - Chinmaya Pratibha
With a view to motivating the existing students to achieve higher academic standards in all classes and at all levels, CIRS awards a Merit scholarship of Rs 10,000 per annum to the student who is ranked number 1 in the annual examinations, having achieved 90% or above as an aggregate mark. CIRS also awards Rs 5,000 per annum to the students who are ranked numbers 2 and 3, having achieved 90% or above as an aggregate mark each.
