CURRICULUM

The Chinmaya International Residential School is a co-educational secondary school from Grade V to Grade XII. The medium of instruction for all classes is English.

 

Affiliation

India : CIRS is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi (National Board) for both the All India Secondary School Examination (Grade X) and also the All India Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Grade XII).

 

 

 

International: CIRS is the 7th Indian School to be affiliated to the International Baccalaureate (IB), Geneva, Switzerland (Grades XI and XII). This qualification is recognized by Universities in India, Europe, America and Australia. Advanced placements and extra credit are offered by many Universities in the U.K., U.S.A., Canada and Australia.

 

Children will either follow the CBSE or IB Curriculum in Grades XI and XII.

 

Spiritual Curriculum

Grades V, VI and VII : Bal Bhagvatam, Bal Ramayana

 

Grades VIII and IX : Life stories of Saints, Meanings of Daily Prayers, Introduction to the Geeta, Tulsi Ramayana

 

Grades X, XI and XII : Chinmaya Mission Pledge, I Love You Letters, Portions from the Bhagavad Geeta

 

The topics covered in the Value-based Spiritual classes are Cleanliness, Non-Violence, Attitude, God Symbolism, Patriotism, Respect for Parents and Teachers, to name a few.
